(Saddle seat) American Saddlebred saddle seat "A" Circuit horse shows

Description:
An actual saddle seat novel, depicting the world of the American Saddlebred show horse. This book tells the story of one of the first "spotted Saddlebreds", a trick horse turned five-gaited horse called Harlequin Hullabaloo, who comes across the expected color prejudice in the show ring. A fun show book with light romantic undertones.

great overall horse book, by swgarasu on May 07, 2010
This is one of my favorite horse books even though I don't really like saddlebreds or have an interest in saddle seat. It's just a really good story about Judy and her pinto, who is very talented, but discriminated against because of his markings. The two go on the show circuit with her sister to try and win a championship in spite of his spots. You feel like you are with them as the travel to the shows and ride in their classes- it's well written and really enjoyable.
