Description:
The second book in the series, this one finds the girl, Heather, buying a horse at an auction. She hopes to show this horse too, but the horse, Frosty, is ring-sour. They take up trail riding instead and go on a three-day trail ride in Vermont. The pair get separated from their group and get lost.
Another great book from Morgan Horse Series, by bhutchinson on October 21, 2005
This book is the second in the series and I think I liked it even more than the first. A truly wonderful book and realistic to boot.
Finally a realistic horse series for kids!, by jconnor on October 14, 2005
This is my favorite book out of the series. My kids loved this story and I did too. The action is very realistic - there are no silly plot twists and no unlikely reactions from the horses. The animals are real. I think the author must have horses as it seems she knows the equine mind very well. There were several points in both this book and the others in the series where I found myself thinking 'my horse does that' or 'that happened to me.' A great introduction for kids into the *real* world of horses.
