Description:
I wasn't sure how to classify this book as it's for kids. It's a short (32 page) full-color story about a filly who decides the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. One day she goes exploring and meets all sorts of interesting forest creatures, but soon realizes she is lost. She is quickly befriended by a sweet Basset Hound who shows her the way home.

I forgot to mention in my last review of Shadow that the artwork, by well-known equine artist Jeanne Mellin, is truly amazing. It is beautiful and her attention to detail is wonderful. Beyond the horse drawings, I particularly like the colorful rooster -he's truly beautiful. This book is work reading/purchasing just for the artwork.
