Excellent, by julieclaire on February 26, 2003
I love this book because it's part autobiographical and part training aid. Gives excellent insight into the life of a top show jumper. Details how Ian rose in the show jumping ranks, his horses, how he runs his barn, how he trains and peaks his horses, what it takes to be a top athlete, behind-the-scenes coverage of world class tournaments like Spruce Meadows and Stuggart, basically everything. Anyone who is into show jumping will love this book. I couldn't give it a higher recommendation.
